You Can Choose Again
It’s never too late to shift how you live, think, or feel in your own skin.
Dear You,
All the time I lived in South Florida, I reckon I could count the number of times I went to the beach on one hand.
It was right there, the Atlantic Ocean, just ten miles away. But I was always too busy.
Always something to do.
Always somewhere to be.
I rarely took a real vacation.
I never paused…unless I collapsed from exhaustion.
It wasn’t living. It was existing.
For years, I told myself this was just how life worked. That success came from staying in motion.
But that mindset was the real trap.
Eventually, I realized something that changed everything:
You can stop.
You can slow down.
You can choose again.
What I used to miss. I don't want to miss it anymore.
Yesterday, I wandered through a park filled with wildflowers.
The air was soft.
The colors, loud in the best way.
And I thought:
This is what I used to miss.
And I don’t want to miss it anymore.
When you choose stillness, the world softens.
The air feels different.
The silence, finally, isn’t empty…it’s full.
You begin to remember who you are.
It’s never too late to shift how you think, how you live, how you feel in your own skin.
That’s the truth I wish I’d known sooner.
But I know it now.
And so do you.
Still here,
Carolyn
