There are moments in life when it feels like you're swimming upstream—against the current—and, to make matters worse, it can feel like people are standing on the riverbank throwing rocks at you. It’s frustrating. Overwhelming.
But here’s what I’ve learned.
When everything seems to be going absolutely awry, the best thing you can do is stop. Just stop. Take a breath. Really look around. Ask yourself: What is actually around me right now?
See that tree? (Hear the songs of the birdies? Feel the warm breeze on your face?
That’s what life is. It’s about taking one step after another. And seeing beauty in the things around you instead of only focusing on the struggle or negativity in front of you.
Sometimes we think we have to keep pushing. Keep swimming. But stopping… that’s where the shift happens. Period.
✨ Your Turn:
Have you ever felt like you were swimming upstream? What helped you pause and find your footing again? I’d love to hear your reflections in the comments. And if this resonated with you, feel free to share it with someone who might need a gentle reminder to stop, breathe, and notice the beauty around them.
