Notes to You
The signal to slow down
Dear You,
One of the strangest things has gently brought me to a halt lately: the internet.
For months now, I’ve been riding the waves of an unstable signal. My laptop tries its best to update, while my mobile WiFi makes no promises. Pages load like they’re wading through molasses, and life—unexpectedly—slows down with them.
And strangely... I don’t mind.
In the waiting, something else shows up. I catch myself actually being here. In my breath. In the pause between clicks. In the nothing happening.
I’ve started to wonder—how often do we get quiet signals like this? Gentle nudges to slow down, look up, be here. But we’re usually too busy buffering in our own way to notice.
So I’ll leave this thought with you today:
Are there signals around you too? Asking you to pause, to breathe, to be where your feet are?
Lessons. Always lessons.
Still here,
Carolyn
