The Quiet Beginnings of Something True
How this blog began—and how it might just be the beginning of something for both of us
This space is open. The door’s unlocked. Come in.
Dear You,
Last year, I sold everything I owned—my home, my car, nearly all of my belongings—and left the United States with two suitcases and a seven-year-old Chihuahua named Miss Evie.
I didn’t have a perfect plan.
But I did have a quiet voice inside whispering,
“This isn’t quite it.”
That whisper wasn’t the end.
It was the beginning.
And that’s where I meet you.
This space—this blog—isn’t just about where I’ve been.
It’s about the in-between moments.
The pauses.
The reimagining.
It’s about the courage it takes to let go of a life that looks fine on the outside—and follow the quiet longing for something simpler, truer, and more yours.
Here, you’ll find reflections on living more simply, stories from the road, and gentle reminders of what really matters—rooted not only in my own journey, but in decades of guiding others through big transitions, hard endings, and fresh starts.
I write for women who are ready to live life on their terms—maybe not loudly, but honestly.
The ones who’ve carried a lot.
Who’ve been the steady ones, the fixers, the caregivers.
And who are finally ready to ask:
“What do I want now?”
This is more than a newsletter.
It’s a compass for those quietly beginning again.
If this resonates, you might want to start here
And if you're ever unsure where to begin, you can always just hit reply.
I read every message. No team. No automation—just me.
Still here,
Carolyn
