This morning I went swimming. Swimming settles my mind, I find peace in the motion and the repetition. I get comfort in this form of exercise .
Swimming is my “triple whammy" because.
I keep fit
I gain clarity of mind.
I get a feeling of control
My recent business/mindset coach told me that I should swim with a pen and paper. Sounds strange but I have learned the of jotting down ideas and thoughts as I push back and forth.
And I have recently learned that this habit offers another benefit. Swimming provides me with a sense of stability. Calm. Familiarity.
It really doesn’t matter where I, we, are in life.
Habits that are unique to each of us keep us “on the right track”.
For me, this habit which I have practiced for decades is my support, my backbone, self induced form of encouragement and motivation.
This habit, swimming keeps me in touch with Carolyn.
