Not Every Day Is Meant to Shine (And That’s Okay)
Because not every day is meant to feel good—and that’s okay.
Some days just feel heavy.
They’re not full of sunshine, motivation, or “go get ‘em” energy.
They’re the quiet, foggy ones… where you want to retreat, curl up, maybe even throw yourself a little pity party. Eat A LOT of chocolate.
And you know what? That’s normal.
We talk so much about being positive, pushing through, staying productive—but the truth is, that’s not always real life. We all have those days. The ones where our energy dips, emotions bubble up, or we simply feel off.
What matters most isn’t avoiding those moments.
It’s how we care for ourselves in them.
Do we meet ourselves with judgment—or gentleness?
Do we let ourselves rest, cry, take life in, be still?
Do we remember that we’re human and this, too, is part of the journey?
Today was one of those days for me.
And instead of pushing it away, I chose to lean in—with softness, with honesty, and with grace.
I took a walk. I got REALLY wet. Not the warm wet of south Florida, the cold sting your legs wet.
No pressure to perform. No need to explain. Just being where I am, and knowing I won’t stay here forever.
If you’re in that space too—if today feels heavy or low—I want you to know:
You’re not alone.
You don’t need to fix it all right now.
You’re allowed to feel what you feel.
And when you’re ready… you’ll come back to center, step by step.
Be gentle with yourself today.
This, too, is part of the path.
I’d love to hear from you. How do you care for yourself on the hard days?
Let’s have the real conversations.
