Dear You,
People told me I was brave.
But it didn’t feel brave.
It felt like survival.
Like choosing myself for the first time in a very long time.
There wasn’t a dramatic exit or a movie-worthy transformation. Just a quiet, growing ache that whispered: This life doesn’t fit anymore.
The roles I’d filled, the routines I’d followed, the things I said “yes” to out of habit—they weren’t me. Not anymore.
So I left. Not just a place, but a version of myself.
I crossed oceans with a small dog, two suitcases, and an inner knowing that something had to change—even if I didn’t know what came next.
What I did know was this:
I didn’t want more hustle. I wanted to feel at home. In my life. In myself.
That’s where everything started to shift—not through force or perfection, but through pausing long enough to ask the right questions.
And this is exactly what I now help other women explore—gently, honestly—through something I call The Simple Life Audit.
It’s not a productivity tool. It’s a returning.
To what matters.
To what’s true.
To you.
If you’re standing at the edge of what was, unsure of what’s next—you’re not alone. And you’re not broken.
Sometimes choosing yourself is the bravest thing you’ll ever do.
Still here,
Carolyn
