I never wore a hat.
Several months ago, I rushed into a local bakery. After my purchase, I remarked to the assistant, "It's so cold outside."
Her reply: "You need to wear a hat."
A hat. I haven't worn a hat in decades, and this suggestion seemed so alien to me. A hat. Me?
